Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not provide a place of employment that was free from recognized hazards in that employees were exposed to fall related hazard in that the scissor lift being used to raise and lower employees to and from the roof was not placed on a firm, flat, smooth and level surface. Naperville Costco jobsite. The scissor lift used for access/egress from the roof by employees was set upon broken masonry stones and one of the tires was half deflated. Among feasible means of abatement would be to comply with ANSI A92.6 1990 - Self Propelled Elevated Work Platforms and the Equipment Manufactures Institute's safety manual. CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION
