were causing or
likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:

Location:Sanding/Grinding Room
Condition:Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards from the
generation of combustible aluminum fines while grinding, sanding, and
buffing a variety of aluminum sheet metal parts.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard
is to comply with NFPA 651, Standard for the Machining and Finishing of
Aluminum and
the Handling of Aluminum Powder.
Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs,
training
certification, etc.) is required for this item.
