North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety
and Health Act of North Carolina:  The employer did not furnish
employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or
serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed
to:
a)Stewart Bolling Intensive Mixer, (ABM), employees were
required to clean/clear material clogging the machine,
were not provided the appropriate illumination.
Reference ANSI/IES-RP-7-1991, Chapter 6.2 Illuminance Levels.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method
to correct the hazard was to provide portable lighting attached to
the helmet of the employee performing the clearing procedure.
