Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
In the "Zenobia" room and "Coleccion de la Artes" rooms of the Jose M.
Lazaro Library
in the University of P.R., there was evidence of ceiling water
filtrations, due to
condensation problems.  The employees stored and dispached books.
Hazard: Slips and falls .
Among other correction method some feasible and acceptable methods to
correct this
hazard is repair the ceiling.
En Biblioteca Jose. M. Lazaro de la Universidad de P.R. Salas Zenobia y
Coleccion de
las Artes, existia evidencia de filtraciones de agua por el techo, debido
a problemas de
condensacion.  Los empleados almacenaban y despachaban libros.
Riesgo: Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos de correccion uno factible y aceptable para corregir
este riesgo es
reparar el techo.r
