Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At all building levels including the basement of the "Ondeo de Puerto
Rico, Inc." central
offices building; the employees were performing the following works:
writing in the
computers, data analysis, answering the phone, attending people, among
others. There
was evidences of water spots on the acoustic panels,walls and windows due
to water
filtrations throught the windows and ceiling.
Hazard: Slips and falls.
Among other correction methods, one feasible and acceptable to correct
this hazard is
repair the ceiling and the windows sealing.
En todos los pisos, incluyendo el sotano del edificio de las oficinas
centrales de Ondeo
de Puerto Rico, Inc; los empleados estaban realizando los siguientes
trabajos: escribiendo
en computadoras, analizando datos, atendiendo el telefono, atendiendo
publico, entre
otros. Existia evidencia de manchas de agua en los paneles acusticos,
paredes y ventanas
debido a las filtraciones de agua a traves del techo y las ventanas.
Riesgo: Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos, uno factible y aceptable para corregir este riesgo es
reparar el techo
y sellar las ventanas.

At the "Ondeo de Puerto Rico, Inc." central offices building; employees

floor of it.
The electric cables run through the floor.
a)In the level nine, office of "Adqusicion de Terrenos"; the electric
cable run
between the desks.
b)In the level eight, office of "Servicio al Cliente"; the electric cable
run between
the desks.
Among other correction methods, one feasible and acceptable to correct
this hazard is
remove the electric cable of this areas.
Hazard: Falls.
En el edificio de las oficinas centrales de "Ondeo de Puerto Rico, Inc.";
los empleados
estaban realizando los siguientes trabajos: escribiendo en computadoras,
analizando datos,
atendiendo el telefono, atendiendo publico, entre otros. Se observaron
cables electricos
en el piso de estas. Los cables electricos corrian por el suelo.
a)En el piso nueve, oficina de "Adquisicion de Terrenos"; el cable
electrico corria
entre los escritorios.
b)En el piso ocho, oficina de "Servicio al Cliente"; el cable electrico
corria entre
los escritorios.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, uno factible y aceptable para corregir
este riesgo es
remover el cable electrico de estas areas.
Riesgo: Caidas.
