Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards associated with concrete forms being leaned against walls where they could easily fall over. Job site: Employees were removing all ties to some of the concrete forms and then leaning them against the wall where they could easily fall over and strike an employee. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to keep a safe number of ties in place to secure the panel form to the concrete wall until it can be hooked to the crane.
