North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to unsafe work practice hazards due to a missing hook latch (IAW para 10-1.2.3 (c). ASME B 30-10a-1996):. a)production floor-a Crosby V5C hook used on the 10 ton overhead crane was missing it's hook latch. A feasible means of abatement is to replace the missing hook latch.
