Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Prime Outlet parking area in Barceloneta.  The security guards use
to perform their tasks
a bicycle, it was observed the pad brakes not adjusted properly and with
damage, tires with
damages and the handlebar without handlers among other methods one
feasible and acceptable
abatement methods to correct this hazard are:
1.Replace the pad brakes and/ or provide a new bicycle.
2.Replace the tires
3.   Provide new handles
Hazards: Falls and injuries on hands and body.
En el area del estacionamiento de  "Prime Outlet" en Barceloneta. Los
guardias de seguridad
utilizan para realizar sus tareas bicicletas, fue observado que los frenos
no ajustado
correctamente, gomas danadas y los manguillos del manubrio con defectos,
ademas de otros
metodos de correcion un metodo factible y aceptable para corregir estos
riesgos es:
1.Reemplazar los frenos y /o proveer un a bicicleta nueva
2.Reemplazar las gomas
3.Proveer manguillos nuevos.
Riesgo: Caidas y lesiones en manos y cuerpo.

At the Prime Outlet parking area in Barceloneta.  The security guards use

a bicycle, the seat used on the bicycle was not an ergonomic seat, among
other one feasible and
acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is:
1.Provide an ergonomic seat (bike seat without nose).
Hazards: Excessive pressure on the perineum and inflammation of genitals.
En el area del estacionamiento de  "Prime Outlet" en Barceloneta. Los
guardias de seguridad
utilizan para realizar sus tareas bicicletas, el asiento usado en las
bicicletas
no era un asiento
ergonomico, ademas de otros metodos un metodo aceptable y viable para
corregir este riesgo
es:
1.Proveer un asiento(sillin) ergonomico( asiento de bicicleta sin nariz).
Riesgo: Presion excesiva en el perineum e inflamacion de genitales.

estaban expuestos
a:
At the Prime Outlet parking area in Barceloneta.  The security guards use
to perform their tasks
a bicycle, the employees work outdoors on a 8 hours shift exposed to the
sunligth.  Among
others methods one acceptable and feasible method to correct this hazard
is:
1.Provided sunscreen (SPF of at least 15) and/ or long sleeves shirt to
protect the
employees skin from the sunligth.
2.rest in areas with shade
Hazards: Dehydration, Heat stroke and Heat exhaustion.
En el area del estacionamiento de  "Prime Outlet" en Barceloneta. Los
guardias de seguridad
utilizan para realizar sus tareas bicicletas, los empleados trabajan en el
exterior en turnos de 8
horas expuestos a la luz del sol, ademas de otros metodos un metodo
aceptable
y viable para
corregir este riesgo es:
1.Proveer bloqueador solar (SPF de por lo menos 15) y/o camisas de manga
larga
para proteger la piel de los empleados de la luz del sol.
2.Descansar en areas con sombra.
Riesgo: Deshidratacion, agotamiento por calor e insolacion.
