by an  S & S
Crane #89-1602-A2 that was being operated in the vicinity of employees
without proper
personnel-deflecting guards around the leading edges of front and rear
wheels.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method is to
install personnel-
deflecting guards around the leading edges of front and rear wheels.
Deflecting guards should
extend and be designed in such a manner to push persons out of the way of
an oncoming vehicle
and not capable of running them over.
PLEASE NOTE:  CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS
VIOLATION.
