Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: (a) On or about December 11, 2003 at 1851 Epps Bridge Parkway, Athens Ga. at the Lowe's Store, employees were exposed to fall hazards while performing prep and painting work from an articulating boom aerial lift on the front of the store. The employer did not provide and assure that employees used personal fall arrest protection to employees. Feasible abatement methods include but are not limited to: 1.Provide and assure that employees use personal fall arrest protection. 2.Follow guidance as written in American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A92.5 Boom Supported Elevating Work Platforms
