Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:

El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Humacao Municipal Parking, the employee was in the process of
removing a palm tree
in the bucket of the Aerial Device, trademark Terex Telelect, Model XT55,
Serial Number
1990107657 at approximately 40 feet of height, above the floor.  The bolts
of the rotation
bearing were broken and the employee fell to the pavement.  The employer
did
not give
maintenance to the bolts, according the manufacturer's instructions manual.
Hazard: Falls.
Among other correction methods, some feasible and acceptable methods to
correct this hazard
are repair the boom and give maintenance or get out of service and/or
replace by a new one.
En el Estacionamiento Municipal de Humacao, el empleado estaba en el
proceso de remover una
palma en un canasto de una elevador aereo (Grua Articulada), Marca Terex
Telelect, Modelo
XT55, Numero de Serie 1990107657 a 40 pies de altura aproximadamente desde
el nivel del
piso. Los tornillos del "rotation bearing" se partieron y el empleado cayo
al pavimento.  El
patrono no dio mantenimiento a los tornillos segun las instrucciones del
manual del
manufacturero.
Riesgo: Caidas.
Entre otros medios de correccion, varios metodos factibles y aceptables
para corregir este riesgo
es reparar el puntal y darle mantenimiento o sacarlo de servicio y/o
reemplazarlo por una nueva.azarlo
