29 CFR 1960.8(a):  The head of the agency did not furnish to each
employee,
employment and
a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were
causing or were
likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were
exposed to slips and falls
on the ice during the winter:
Parking Lot - The employer did not provide adequate sanding for the
parking lot to
prevent slips and falls due to the required vehicle washings at the end of
the agents'
shifts.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to rearrange/redesign the parking lot so washing the service vehicles does
not affect the path of
travel for vehicles and pedestrians between the parking lot and the
building during the winter
months.
