Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the conditions listed below: Structural Services, Inc., at 525 Magoffin Ave, El Paso, TX: On or about May 16, 2007 the employer did not ensure employees performed their duties in an area that would not place them under an elevated load. Employees were exposed to being struck by a load being lifted, which could inflict potential permanent disability. Employer did not evaluate area to assure there was sufficient work area to assemble crane boom sections. Restricted work area placed at least one employee under the elevated portion of rough terrain forklift truck. As referenced in Safety Standards For Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-2005, Standard 6.2.7 "Do not allow anyone to stand or pass under the elevated portion of any rough terrain
