Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 11/19/2004, an employee was working off a platform that was elevated by a Gradall forklift. The employee was exposed to a fall of approximately 20 feet. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to control the hazard is to comply with ASME B56.6-1992 paragraph 8.25 safety standards; Platforms for Elevating Personnel.
