29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment: On or about October 9, 2014, on the east side of the building, the employer had not conducted an assessment of the workplace for employees who were potentially exposed to silica dust while cutting stucco panels from the building. The employees were not provided respiratory protection and exposed to respiratory illnesses caused by breathing the dust.
