Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall hazards from a height of 13 feet above the ground: On or about 10/20/05 at 3641 Georgia Highway 20, Conyers, GA: Employee was exposed to fall hazards, while standing on a stack of plywood, which was elevated on the forks of a rough terrain forklift to a height of approximately 13 feet above the ground. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS": 1) The employer should obtain a copy of ANSI Standard B56.6-1992 "Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks", to ensure compliance with safe working practices.
