Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/09/04 Location:Front of Hangers 25 and 27 Equipment:Caterpillar Paver CP941, Model #AP 1000-B, Extend-A-Mat 10-20B Condition:A Caterpillar paver was operated without a guard on the control switch for the Extend- A-Mat screed. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to install the manufacturer's protective guard for the scredd extension switch. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
