North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed live electrical and natural gas parts: 1)Employer Mike Peaden failed to provide a temporary labor camp site free from recognized hazards in that workers are exposed to live explosive natural gas. Workers in the kitchen area of the temporary labor camp site had no way to ensure that gas to the stoves was properly shut off exposing workers to the fatal hazard of breathing the gas as well as the explosive potential of the gas. 2)Employer Mike Peaden failed to provide a temporary labor camp site free from recognized hazards as workers were exposed to live electrical parts. Smoke detector which was hard wired into the electrical system had exposed live electrical parts.ical
