Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
At the Luis Munoz Rivera Elemental School, in all cassrooms and the
Director office,
it was observed the presence of water leaks from the ceiling. The
employees were
teaching classes such as: Spanish, English, Mathematics, among others.
Hazard: Slips and falls.
Among other correction method, a feasible and acceptable method to correct
this hazard
is to seal the school roof to eliminate the water leaks.
En la escuela elemental Luis Munoz Rivera, en todos los salones y en la
oficina de la
Directora, se observo la presencia de filtraciones de agua proveniente del
techo. Los
empleados estaban ensenando clases tales como: Espanol, Ingles,
Matematicas, entre
otras.
Riesgo: Resbalones y caidas.
Entre otros metodos de correccion, un metodo factible y aceptable para
corregir este
riesgo es sellar el techo de la escuela para eliminar las filtraciones.
