Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees
in that employees
were exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a)Worksite, Office area - Employees used a work chair in bad conditions,
broken, without five legs, lumbar support, etc; exposed to falling hazards.
Among other methods of correction, various factible and acceptable methods
for corrected this hazards are the following:
Using an office chair on a five - castor base equipped with multiple
adjustable
feature including seat height/tilt/depth adjustment, back rest height/tilt
adjustment, lumbar support, adjustable arm rest and locking mechanism.  The
recomended depth of chairs seat is 17".
a)Sitio de trabajo, area de Oficina - Empleados utilizaban una sillas de
trabajo
las cuales estaban en malas condiciones, estaban rotas, no tenian 5 patas,
soporte lumbar, etc.; expuesto al riesgo de caidas de las sillas.
Entre otros metodos de correccion aceptables:  la utilizacion de una silla
de 5
patas con varias opciones ajustables como la altura, profundidad,
descansabrazos, soporte lumbar infable, entre otros.  La profundidad
recomendable de una silla debe ser de 17 pulgadas."le

Change the old files cabinets for better one's.

rotos
expuestos a lesiones en los pies y otras partes del cuerpo.
Entre otros medios de correccion aceptables:
Sustituir los archivos viejos por archivos en buenas condiciones."
