21 VSA Title 2, Chapter 3, Sub-chapter 5, section 223(a): The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or significant physical harm to his employees. LOCATION: Swimming Pool pump room, Red Roof Inn, 401 Route 7 South, Rutland, Vermont VIOLATION: On or about December 29, 2006 CSHO observed the employer did not furnish to each of his or her employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or significant physical harm to his or her employees in that incompatible chemical storage and possible mixing of incompatible liquids could result in employees being exposed to chlorine. One feasible means of abatement would be to store Sodium Hypochlorite containers separately from incompatible materials such as Taski Ultra-Easy UC92 and UC6 Cleaners.
