or if the hoist malfunctions:
a)At the facility, on or about 2/16/06:  The following hoists were not
being
inspected on a periodic basis:
1)2-Ton Coffing Hoist in the Annealing area, safety clip was missing.
2)1-Ton Wright Way Hoist in the Buncher area, safety clip was missing
and the support structure had an unknown load capacity rating.
3)1-Ton CM Hoist in the Buncher area, support structure had na
unknown load capacity rating.
4)1/2-Ton Budgit Hoist in the One Pound Respool area, safety clip was
missing.
Among other methods, one feasible method of abatement is to replace the
safety clips
on the load hooks, conduct periodic inspections of the hoists for wear,
deterioration
and malfunction and provide support structure ratings as per ASME
B30.16-1993.
