Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to falling from a ladder: (a)Platinum Homes, LLC - Final Finish - On or about 04/06/06, employee(s) were exposed to 6ft. fall hazard when using the first rung and the top of the ladder to gain extra leverage when installing electrical wiring. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to follow the manufacturer's recommendation to "Never, stand, climb, or sit on ladder top when working from a ladder.
