T.C.A. 50-3-105(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place
of employment
which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to
cause death or serious
physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to:
In that, the employer did not ensure a smooth level walkway free from
obstructions. Employees
were exposed to tripping hazards caused by metal pipes protruding five
inches from the floor
of the walkway in the Cooler Department.
Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to
correct this hazard is
to cut the pipes down close to the walking surface of the floor and then
place a metal cover over
the pipes.
