Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:
Consensus Standard ASME B20.1-1996, Safety Standard for Conveyors and
Related
Equipment, Paragraph 5.2 Maintenance (b) Where lack of maintenance and
service would
cause a hazardous condition, the user shall establish a maintenance
program to ensure
that conveyor components are maintained in a condition that does not
constitute a hazard
to personnel.
a) On or about 07/13/2006, at approximately 09:15 a.m., a 1100 pound
diesel engine fell
from the bridle while it was being transported to the main line.  The
bridle itself was

A possible alternate method: to have magna-flux tests performed on the
equipment after
a specific number of production hours and or annually.

by OSHA.
b)  The employer is responsible for selecting and implementing an
effective
abatement
method.
Abatement certification and abatement documentation is required for this
violation.  The
documentation should include written verification of abatement, applicable
measurements
or monitoring results, and photographs or videos which you believe will be
helpful.  The
abatement certification sheet is enclosed with the citation.
