Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to a fall:
a)15 Polhemus Lane, Bridgewater, NJ: Employee standing on a container, not
wearing
fall protection, fell approximately 12 feet to the ground below.
Violation on or about 3/12/08.
ABATEMENT NOTE:AMONG OTHER MEANS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE
METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD WOULD BE FOR THE COMPANY TO:Ensure
that all employees through training and enforcement wear fall protection
when necessary.
