Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing hazards: Production, Warehouse and Shipping Areas: Employees operating Crown forklifts # 1 and #2 were not provided with seatbelts. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to: Install a seatbelt retro-fit package and require that a seatbelt be worn when the trucks are operated.
