Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employement and a place of employement which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious harm to employee in that employees were exposed to crushing injuries: Production Areas: Employees operating Clark forklifts serial #GX23011569372FB and C50070 were not provided with seat belts. Among Other Methods: On e feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to reinstall seat belts on both forklifts and require the seat belts be worn at all times when the trucks are operated. Specific abatement documentation is required.
