Section 5(A)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: a)West End of Recycling Building # 3: Employees performing repair/maintenance work to a finger screen were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 11' above the ground while working from a front end loader bucket without any means of fall protection, on or about July 3, 2006. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS": To use a boom lift with anchoring points for the attachmentment of proper fall protection. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION OF ABATEMENT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
