General-duty citation text
North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck-by unsecured equipment frames: a)shop, employees were exposed to being struck by free-standing equipment frames which were in storage, awaiting painting or assembly and were not secured. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to secure the frames to prevent them from being accidently knocked over.
