P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of hazard of being thrown out of the operator's seat and being crushed by the industrial lift truck: A) Perfect pole area and the #2 pole mill - Employees were operating industrial lift trucks (forklifts) without wearing the seatbelt. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard is to assure that employees use the seatbelt when operating the industrial lift truck.rial
