P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushed and struck-by hazard(s): a)Throughout warehouse areas - On or about June 3, 2009, the employer did not ensure steel storage racks were anchored to the floor and as a result, employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards. Among other feasible means of abatement, an acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to anchor all steel storage rack columns to the floor in accordance with ANSI standard MH16.1-2008, Section 7.2, "Specifications for Design, Testing, and Utilization of Industrial Steel Storage Racks". ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE REQUIRED.TION
