Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
a)burns, electric shock, contusions and fractures. The roof of the
cabinetmakers
shop, at "Centro Vacacional Boqueron", was in advance stage of
deterioration.
The metal roof was visibly rusted and there were multiple perforations that
allowed rain water to go into lamps, electric circuits and machinery. The
wood
rafter supporting the metal roof was moth-eaten and represent a collapsing
hazard.
An available and feasible method to abate this hazard is the
reconstruction of
the cabinetmakers shop roof.
a)quemaduras, descargas electricas, contusiones y fracturas. El techo del
taller
de ebanisteria, en el Centro Vacacional de Boqueron, estaba en avanzado
estado de deterioro. El techo de metal estaba visiblemente oxidado y tenia
multiples perforaciones que permitian agua de lluvia en lamparas, circuitos
electricos y maquinaria. Las vigas de madera que soportaban el techo de
metal
estaba apolillado y representaba un riesgo de desplome.
Un metodo para disponible y viable para corregir este riesgo es la
reconstruccion del techo de la ebanisteria."n

a:
a)domestic violence. Compania de Parques Nacionales de Puerto Rico at
"Centro
Vacacional de Boqueron" did not provided training to his employees related
to
the written protocol for the handling of domestic violence in the
workplace, as
required by the Act for the Implementation of a Protocol to Handle Domestic
Violence Situations in the Workplace or Place of Employment, Act No. 217 of
2006.
Method to abate the hazard: Employer shall provide training to all the
establishment employees related to its written protocol for the handling of
domestic violence in the workplace.
a)violencia domestica. Compania de Parques Nacionales de Puerto Rico en
Centro Vacacional de Boqueron no proveyo adiestramiento a sus empleados
relacionado con el protocolo escrito del establecimiento para el manejo de
violencia domestica, segun requerido por la Ley para la Implementacion de
un
Protocolo para el Manejo de Situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el Sitio
de
Trabajo o Lugar de Empleo, Ley Numero 217 de 2006.
Metodo para corregir este riesgo: El patrono tiene que proveer
adiestramiento
a todos los empleados en el establecimiento relacionado con su protocolo
escrito para el manejo de violencia domestica en el sitio de trabajo."
