5(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Employees working on the RT Conveyor line at the loading and unloading stations near the 580 and 570 tables were exposed to struck by and/or crushing hazards from potential entanglement with the overhead line conveyor. These loading/transfer areas are remote from the automatically controlled conveyor controls, and did not have any emergency stop buttons, pull cords, limit switches, or other similar emergency stop devices. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be the installation of emergency stop devices at these loading and transfer points in compliance with ASME B20.1 - 2006 Safety Standard for Conveyors and Related Equipment, Section 5.11.2 (c).

5(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: the employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees. Employees working on the RT line between the 580 and 570 tables were exposed to struck by and/or crushed by hazards from falling castings from the overhead line conveyor. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard would be the installation of spill guards, pan guards, or equivalent to prevent falling material from endangering personnel in compliance with ASME B20.1 - 2006 Safety Standard for Conveyors and Related Equipment, Section 5.9.2 (d).
