Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a.Bunting Bearings LLC worksite located at 1001 Holland Park Blvd., Holland, Ohio: On or about April 17, 2008, the employer did not ensure the foot control on the Denison Hydraulic Press #339 was protected from unintentional actuation. The foot pedal located on the working side of the machine was not guarded. Abatement Note: One feasible means of abatement is to comply with the ANSI B11.2- 1995 Hydraulic Power Presses- Safety Requirements for Construction, Care and Use, Section 6.3.9(4) which requires foot pedals to be protected. No additional abatement information is needed for this item.
