Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards
that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that
employees were exposed to crushing hazards:
Company:  Employees were observed operating forktrucks without wearing the
seat belts
provided.
Among other methods, one feasible and useful method to correct this hazard
is to:
1.Ensure that each powered industrial truck is equipped with adequate seat
belts.
2.Re-train employees regarding the use of seat belts.
3.Adequately supervise employees and enforce the company policy of wearing
seat belts
as needed.
