Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: a. Building A Tire Storage Areas: There was inadequate or no lighting provided in the first and second floor tire storage areas which poses a means of egress hazard. b. Building B Hallway: There was no lighting provided in the hallway which poses a means of egress hazard. c. Building B Tire Storage Area: There was inadequate or no lighting provided in the tire storage area which poses a means of egress hazard. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure the lighting is added or repaired in accordance with The NFPA 101 Life Safety Code Chapter 7.8 Illumination of Means of Egress.

Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that: a. North East Vehicle Lift Building B: Employees were exposed to a potential crush hazard when operating the Ben Pearson Hydraulic Lift, in that, the employer failed to correct a hydraulic leak which may lead to a catastophic failure. b. South West Vehicle Lift Building B: Employees were exposed to a potential crush hazard, in that, the arm on the klit bends when a vehicle is being supported and may have a catastrophic failure. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to ensure the hydraulic vehicle lifts are maintained in accordance with Safety Requirements for Construction, Testing, and Validation ANSI/ALI ALCTV-1998 Standard for Automotive Lifts.
