Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by hazard should the bridge crane system fail: a)Dept. 862, 208 Warehouse, DD41, on or about 10/29/09: The vertical upright angle iron support for the bridge crane #BC349 with a 1/4 ton ARO overhead hoist attached was bent. One feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to : 1.Repair any deformed or damaged structural support members in accordance with ANSI B30.1-1980, Section 11-2.1.
