Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:  The

were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to
employees in that employees
were exposed to:caught-in hazards from an unguarded conveyor
On or about 12/29/09 employees of Cintas Corporation were working in the
truck pit area while
exposed to an unguarded vertical/horizontal incline transfer conveyor. The
employees were
exposed to moving machinery parts that could cause serious injuries if
caught in the conveyor.
A feasible and acceptable method in correcting this problem would be
placing a mechanical or
electrical guard to remove the hazard or using a standard
guardrail/extension rail, to comply and
enforce the required ANSI standard (ASME B-20.1-1993; section 5.9.1.1.
In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required
for this violation
(using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
