Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard by using a wood pallet raised by a powered industrial truck as an elevated work platform: a)10 Empire Boulevard, Moonachie, NJ: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard while working from a wood pallet elevated on the forks of a Toyota powered industrial truck, on or about 12/02/2009. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to provide a safety platform used in accordance with ITSDF B56.1-2005 Part II, Section 4.17.on
