North Carolina General Statue 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer/owner did not furnish housing free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to occupants in that occupants were living in trailers located at 1504 Camp Jubilee Rd., trailer #119 located Cabin Creek Road in the B & D Mobile Home Park off of Billy Price Rd. and at 4123 Hwy. 55 E, Mt. Olive were exposed to electrical hazards from improper use of temporary wiring and exposure to live electrical parts. a) All six trailers had wall outlets that were missing covers and were hanging from the junction box exposing live electrical wiring rated at 110 volts. b) All six trailers had light fixtures less than seven feet from the floor without covers exposing energized electrical wiring rated at 110 volts. c) Trailer located at 4123 Hwy 55 E, Mount Olive, main circuit breaker panel located in the hallway approximately four feet,eight inches up the wall was missing the cover exposing live wiring rated at both 220/110 volts. d) Trailer #1671 located at 1504 Camp Jubilee Road was supplying electricity to trailer #1661 by installing approximately 60 feet of romex cable and burying the cable underground to be undetected connecting the two trailers.Trailer had no meter installed and yet the trailer had electrical power.Trailer #1661 was missing the cover panel on the exterior main panel exposing electrical wiring and components rated at 220 volts. Among others one feasible and accepted method of abating this violation is to eliminate all temporary wiring being used on a permanent basis and have all corrections made that meet NEC and local building code requirements.
