Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees exposed to a fall hazard while climbing rails of the scissor lift basket: a) Littletown Road, Parsippany, NJ. Employees were observed climbing the rails of a scissor lift basket to access the bridge above, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard of 15 feet to the ground. Violation observed on or about 10/02/2009. b) Littletown Road, Parsippany, NJ. Employer did not install a complete guardrail system, thereby exposing employee to a fall hazard of 15 feet to the ground. Violation observed on or about 10/02/2009.
