Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act:  The
employer did not
furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from
recognized hazards that
were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in
that employees were
exposed to:
Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico:
El patrono no
proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten
causando o que
puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados
estaban expuestos
a:
Fitness Gallery, treadmills area: It was observed that the electrical cord
of the Star Trac
Treadmill, SKU 97633 MUSAPO, were expossed just laying on the ground
common area
in the employees way making it not safe for them while they walk through
it to gain
access to turn the equipment on and off and also to get through to get the
equipment
and
the area cleaned (mopping and sweeping the common area as well).
Hazard: Stumble and falls by cables.
Among others method, a feasible and aceptable to correct this hazard is,
to relocated o
take out the cables at the floor.
Fitness Gallery, area de las trotadoras: Se observo que los cables
electricos de las
trotadoras Marca Star Trac, SKU 97633 MUSAPO, estaban en el piso de manera
insegura. Cuando los empleados caminaban a traves de ellos para accesar al
area para
prender o apagar el equipo y tambien para realizar trabajos de limpieza
como barrer y/o
mapear el area.
Riesgo: Tropezones y caidas con los cables.
Entre otros metodos, un metodo accesible y aceptable para corregir este
riesgo es,
reubicar o sacar los cables del piso.s
