What this inspection record means

OSHA opens inspections for many reasons: routine scheduling under a national or local emphasis program, an employee complaint or referral, or a follow-up after a reported injury. Opening or conducting an inspection is not itself an allegation or a finding that this employer broke any rule; any findings appear as the citations listed below, and citations can be contested, reduced, or withdrawn.

29 CFR 1960.8(a): The head of the agency did not furnish employment and a
place of
employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or
likely to cause death
or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to
Mycobacterium
tuberculosis:
On or about February 11, 2010, and times prior thereto, Officers were
placing
prisoners, with potential cases of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, into
holding cells.
Officers were not required to have tuberculin skin tests (TST) annually as
per the
Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
One feasible and acceptable method of abatement would be to require annual
tuberculin skin tests by all employees handling prisoners whom potentially
have
tuberculosis.
