Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being struck-by vehicular traffic: (a) Rainbow Dam Road; On or about June 9, 2010, employees working in a traffic zone were exposed to the hazard of being struck by vehicular traffic while not wearing a traffic vest. (b) Rainbow Dam Road; On or about June 9, 2010, employees working in a traffic zone were exposed to the hazard of being struck by vehicular traffic due to the lack of an approved traffic control plan. Among other methods, recognized and feasible means of abatement to correct this hazard include, but are not limited to: Full implementation of the applicable elements required by the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (Millennium Edition) Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item.
