Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards associated with the handling of granite slabs: On or about 08/03/2013, at the above mentioned address, a crane was being used to transport a 6000-pound bundle of granite slabs on an A-frame rack in the warehouse; when employees were handling the load to position the bundle onto the rack, the load shifted and fell on one of the employees. NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
