Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:06/10/10 Location:Warehouse Condition:Four employees were expoed to crushed by/struck by hazards as they were pushing/pulling an engineered cart, fated for 1,350 pounds, while transporting 3,538 pounds of aluminum sheets. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to clearly mark all carts with weight capacity limits and ensure carts are not loaded in excess of rated capacity.
