a) Paint booth - There was no means of fall protection for a painter who
was required
to stand on the tops of objects being painted such as, but not limited to
Sea Box
quadruple containers. The height of a quadruple container was
approximately 81 inches.
On or about 12/15/10.
One feasible and useful method of abatement would be to provide a means of
fall
protection for the employee such as, but not limited to, wearing a harness
and lanyard,
tied off to an anchor point.
NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT
CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN
AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR
1903.19.
