Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards: (a)On or about 03/03/2011, employees operating the CCP #2 dryer were exposed to fires that developed in the system during the processing of cookie meal. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to install additional internal fire suppression and extinguishing systems that meet the requirements specified in NFPA 61-10 through 61-12, Prevention of Fires and Dust Explosions in Agricultural and Food Processing Facilities, Chapter 8, 2008 Edition.
