Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of forklift trucks tipping over and employees being crushed-by/struck/by: (a)On or about 04/19/11 - Cast House Department, employees were operating forklifts without using the seatbelts. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard would be to ensure that all forklift drivers utilize the restraint devices provided on the forklifts.
